Dream Attack
Unreleased Radio Advertisement

During the short time that Dream Attack ran on KOOP-AM, I toyed with the idea of putting together a commercial to promote the show with, for broadcast on KOOP. I had chosen the music I would use, and had the spot entirely planned out, and was prepared to begin constructing the advertisement for broadcast in the fall, when I learned that the future of KOOP-AM was in trouble.

I decided to shelve the idea until the future of the station had been decided. Within a short time, it was decided - KOOP would not return to the airwaves. And so, the commercial fell by the wayside.

Recently, though, I've been playing around a lot with sound editing and mixing, and decided that I would finally make the commercial, and put it up on this web page. Why? To prove I could do it, I guess. I wanted this to see the light of day, and now it will. Finally. A year and a half has passed since I first created the concept for this spot, and it took me probably an hour to make it.

So what you will hear (if you choose to download the ad, that is) is a commercial that never aired. In fact, it never actually existed in any way until mid-November of 1996. I feel pretty good about actually having done this. It's like I can finally come to peace with the idea that Dream Attack doesn't exist any more. In one shape or another, it was part of my life for 15 months (April of '94 until June of '95), and this is the conclusion of that.

Some people may wish to know what the music contained in this commercial is. Here is a listing (in order) of the songs used:
